This number has moved a little too much here against the Giants. My simulations indicate the number was efficient at -10 making the Giants a solid bet at +13.
Okay, so almost half the regular starters on both sides of the ball are out for the Giants including their top-4 WRs, but I'm betting on the desperate winless team anyway. The spread has gotten too high to resist. Eli Manning will step up and play well and they've played well on the road, covering two of their three games. Give me all the points I can get, Giants are the play.
The entire world is on Denver and I'm not sure the Broncos' shoulders are big enough. We know about all the injuries the Giants have, especially at WR, but the guys they'll trot out are still professional football players who know they will be on national TV. This line is over-inflated by 6 points. For some reason last week the Giants gave up on a running game that was averaging over 6 yards per carry. They only lost because of a late Eli Manning fumble that gave the Chargers the ball in the red zone with under two minutes to play. Someone will step up for the Giants tonight; they'll stay within this massive spread.
Would have liked to grab this one earlier, but even at 39.5 I think we're getting value. Not sure how the Giants plan to score any points, and the Broncos haven't been impressive offensively, especially throwing the ball. They should look to play the field-position game and keep Eli Manning pinned back all day while moving the ball on the ground and being satisfied with FGs rather than risking turnovers on deep plays. Bang the Under.
The Giants lost their top receivers in last week’ s game. This Sunday, they'll have a bunch of guys called up from the practice squad. Everything says they'll get blown out, but, this is the type of game they'll win. The defense is still good and will keep it close.
How on earth are the Giants going to score? They are so devoid of receivers that I expected a call from them for a tryout this week. Odell Beckham, gone. Brandon Marshall, gone. Dwayne Harris, gone. Sterling Shepard, not gone -- but may be out for Denver. Eli Manning is a wonderful QB, but he cannot make chicken salad out of chicken… soup. As for their ground game, the Giants have been in a state of constant repair for years. It has shown signs of life. But when your leading rusher is Orleans Darkwa (122 yards), who entered the season with only 75 carries in a three-year career, depending on it for points is a pipe dream. Especially against the Broncos. Their defense sits atop the league rankings. They yield a microscopic 2.4 yards per try. Yet the Giants have no choice but to hand it off time and again.
I'm projecting just 30 points for Giants-Broncos on Sunday Night Football, giving us a strong play on the Under. The Giants' offense is a shambles and facing an extremely tough defense on the road. The Under is cashing in a whopping 77 percent of my simulations.
