A lot of focus has been on the third-year slump by Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles. In a shortened week, you'd expect his side effects to linger. Yet, the Titans are a team that has played a questionable style by settling for heavy run packages in the first half before opening things up in second halves. Expect rust to show on the Titans side on a short week. Waiting to open things up in the second half will not work here.

Thursday night games have featured a lot of sloppy football, and with less practice time baked into the schedule, offenses that aren't quite clicking see their issues amplified on the mid-week national stage. Both these teams play solid defense, and I can't see this one turning into a shootout. I'd be shocked if both teams make it to 20 points without getting a gift TD or two on defense or special teams.

I'm on Jacksonville simply because of my numbers and then the extra hook at +3.5 was the ultimate selling point. I feel I have value, because Jacksonville has had lots of success against the Titans and the situation sets up for them to play well, and maybe even win the game.
