The Saints offense has been limited to less than 300 yards in each of its two road games this season, including a 35-34 win in San Diego. The Saints defense has played poorly no matter the conditions, and with the Chiefs mostly healthy, I think they’ll be able to hang some points on the board here. The Chiefs defense came out of the bye firing on all cylinders, completely shutting down an elite Oakland offense on the road. While the danger is certainly there for a backdoor Drew Brees cover, the Chiefs should have things well in hand late.

QB Drew Brees is all-world in the Saints’ dome. In the great outdoors, not so much. He has thrown for three touchdowns in two away games, one against defensively challenged San Diego, and his career passer rating is far better in the N’Awlins dome. The Chiefs just held Oakland’s No. 1-ranked offense to 10 points, so they should keep the Saints in check. The return of RB Jamaal Charles after a year’s absence has been like a shot of Red Bull to K.C.’s offense. He and RB Spencer Ware will help the home team bull its way to a win and cover.
