This is a situational play and being honest probably not worth -161 on its face (-1 would be great), but I think this is close to a must-win for the Mets. It's the end of a disappointing homestand, and they are about to be underdogs three games at scorching-hot Milwaukee over the weekend. All of a sudden, the Amazins could find themselves well back in the NL East and perhaps tied for the last NL WC spot. I expect manager Carlos Mendoza to throw the kitchen sink at the Guardians today and manage like it's a playoff game. Day off tomorrow so likely nearly every reliever is available behind lefty David Peterson (5-0, 2.00 ERA at home). Cleveland is 25th in OPS vs. southpaws.
