The hope here coming out of the bye week is that Oklahoma has found some answers on defense. The lack of size in the secondary cannot be fixed overnight, but the Sooners should at least be better schematically. Meanwhile, the once-powerful Horned Frogs are 2-3 on the season with blowout losses to Ohio State and Texas along with a close win against Iowa State and close loss to Texas Tech. Oklahoma has earned a margin of eight points or more in every victory this season (except against Army in a ball-control game). This will be anything but, as I believe Oklahoma is looking to make a statement here. Sooners roll.
The last time we saw the Sooners on the field, they nearly orchestrated a comeback for the ages against rival Texas. That explosiveness on offense is what Oklahoma has done consistently for the last few years, and TCU's defense won't have much of an answer. It'll be up to Shawn Robinson and the Horned Frogs to keep up with Kyler Murray and Co. They haven't topped 20 points in any of the last three games, so trusting the offense seems ill-advised.
