Navy has major edge playing at home, with 15 mph winds for this game, but how in the world can you go against a Temple squad that has covered 11 straight games since a crushing season opening loss to Army? Navy seems to get better each week, but the Midshipmen played against some bad competition on the road to boost stats. Their last loss was at South Florida, which lost to Temple the week prior. I like the angle of Temple's defense to keep Navy in check, along with the wind, to keep this game Under.
The Owls rank third nationally in total defense and I think they'll slow down a Navy offense that's averaged 61 points over the past three games. Temple also has played a tougher schedule, including losing by only a touchdown at Penn State. Take the points.
This will be the most exciting game of the weekend. Temple does a great job of taking the air out of the ball, just like Navy does. Defensively, the Owls are spectacular with their front seven. The biggest question will be if QB Phillip Walker is healthy or healthy enough to get their passing game going. With that being the biggest unknown in this game, I have to side with the Midshipmen.
