This should be a lower-scoring game than most expect even though Wyoming averages a 40-27 score at home this season. Four of Boise's last six games have stayed Under. The big reason I like the Under here is because of 25-mph winds expected Saturday at Laramie, which is going to hinder Boise's passing game. I still think Boise will win with more of a ground attack, but the spread is right where it should be, and no edge offered. Just the Under.
Although Wyoming is much-improved this season, this is a poor matchup for the Cowboys. The Broncos are capable of exploiting Wyoming?s defense, which is susceptible to long pass plays and trick plays. I think they will get up early and put the hammer down on Wyoming, which has won twice straight-up as a home underdog this season. The Cowboys trampled over Nevada last week for their third straight win, but Boise will limit standout running back Brian Hill and I also think Wyoming will struggle to get defensive stops in this one.
This game has a ton of intrigue. Boise State has a very good, well-balanced offensive attack. The concern for the Cowboys is whether or not they can get the Broncos off the field. But Wyoming has an excellent back of its own in Brian Hill and a head coach in Craig Bohl who's committed to the running game. The Cowboys will play some keepaway here and stay within the number.
