Wow, this Big 12 is some kind of conference. Take a team like TCU, which started the season 12-0, but since conference play began has gone 2-5 with three of the games going into overtime. West Virginia was starting to feel the Big 12 squeeze as well with two straight losses before an 86-51 home win against Texas on Saturday. TCU has gone Over the total in six of its last seven and loves a fast pace, but the WVU press has me believing TCU will have some turnover issues. Also, TCU is allowing opponents to shoot 51 percent over the last five games. West Virginia is the play.

TCU appeared headed toward a breakout season, but its trajectory hit a snag in conference play. The Horned Frogs have five Big 12 losses by 16 combined points, including two in overtime and Saturday's defeat to Kansas State. They need some wins, and quality ones, fast in order to boost their postseason resume. TCU has historically played West Virginia well in Fort Worth, but fell by one point last season. The Mountaineers are coming off a blowout of Texas, and this could be a look-ahead spot in advance of their Saturday showdown with Kentucky. Look for the Frogs to give an inspired performance Monday.
