Fantasy Football 2021 rest of season RB rankings: Myles Gaskin, Zack Moss among biggest movers
The Dolphins reversed course with the preseason presumptive RB1, using Gaskin a ton in their Week 5 loss.
Week 5 brought more injuries to the RB position, as well as some shifting backfield depth chart situations that are worth being aware of. Dalvin Cook and Chris Carson were ruled out before their games started, while Saquon Barkley and Clyde Edwards-Helaire both suffered in-game injuries that are likely to keep them sidelined for multiple weeks. Week 5's injuries opened up short-term starting opportunities for several running backs, and it brought us our first look at Chicago's backfield without David Montgomery leading the way. One of the biggest rankings climbers in Week 5 was Miami RB Myles Gaskin. The Dolphins had appeared to be moving away from Gaskin in favor of Malcolm Brown, but that wasn't the case in Week 5. Gaskin looked like the Fantasy stud that we saw during the 2020 season, playing two-thirds of the snaps and drawing targets at a high rate. He joins Josh Jacobs, Cordarelle Patterson, and Zack Moss as the running backs who saw their rest of season rank change the most from Week 5 to Week 6.
