Fantasy Baseball: Top sleeper hitters to target on the Week 7 waiver wire
Fantasy baseball expert Alex Chamberlain has identified which hitters you need to target on the Week 7 waiver wire.
Finding the perfect addition to your Fantasy baseball team via the waiver wire is the key to winning in any Fantasy league, but if it were easy, anyone could do it. And if you're searching for a hitter to round out your Fantasy baseball lineup, you absolutely need to see what SportsLine's Fantasy expert Alex Chamberlain has to say.
Chamberlain is a 5-time Fantasy Sports Writers Association award finalist and was recognized as 2015's Newcomer of the Year and 2018's Fantasy Baseball Writer of the Year. He competes in Tout Wars and contributes (other) work online at RotoGraphs and in print in Lindy's Sports annual Fantasy Baseball magazines. Previous bylines include Baseball Prospectus and Rotoballer. If there's anybody who knows what it takes to win a league, it's him.
Now, he's done an in-depth analysis of the best hitters who are widely available entering Week 7. One we'll give away: Astros OF Josh Reddick, who's available in nearly 60 percent of CBS Sports Leagues.
"It's probably time to stop ignoring Reddick," Chamberlain said. "His key skill is plate discipline, minimizing the margin between his strikeouts and walks. Since the start of the 2015 season, Reddick has hit .281/.343/.439 with a tidy 13.1% strikeout rate (K%). With 63 home runs and 33 stolen bases to boot (prorating to 18 and nine, respectively, per 630 PA), it's not totally empty production, either."
Chamberlain has also identified which hitters you should target on waivers if you need a jolt for your squad, including an undervalued player who's poised for a breakout. Anyone who adds this player could hit it BIG.
