Broncos OLB Von Miller offers huge betting value available in latest NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds

Von Miller is worth considering in 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year futures bets

When he's at his best, Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller is as impactful as any defensive player in the NFL. Unfortunately, the future Hall of Famer has been plagued by injuries and inconsistent play for most of the last two seasons. Through two weeks of the 2021 NFL season, Miller's odds to win this year's NFL Defensive Player of the Year award reflect his lack of production in 2019 and 2020.

Entering Week 3, Miller is listed at +5000 (risk $100 to win $5000) to take home DPOY honors in the latest 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Oddly enough, Miller is priced the same (50-1) as his teammate, Bradley Chubb, who is set to miss an extended period of time due to ankle surgery.

In Denver's first two games of the 2021 season (both wins), Miller has racked up three sacks, five tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits. The Super Bowl 50 MVP's sack total trails only Chandler Jones (5.0) of the Cardinals and Danielle Hunter (4.0) of the Vikings. Miller leads the league in TFL.

Granted, the competition will be stiff and his candidacy will likely hinge on the Broncos' win/loss record at the end of the seaon, but motivation seems to be at an all-time high for Miller, who is a new father playing in a contract year. For bettors, playing the NFL futures markets is all about finding value, and locking in Miller right now at 50-1 would be a huge value. If he continues on his current statistical pace, that number will shrink significantly every week.
