If you spot nearly two touchdowns, your team ought to be a powerhouse or the opponent better be terrible. Neither applies here. The Colts have found an acceptable place-holder for recuperating QB Andrew Luck as ex-Pat Jacoby Brissett carved out a 120 passer rating in his second start last week. The Seahawks pitched Thomas Rawls and Eddie Lacy in the preseason as a one-two RB punch, yet neither has landed any blows. Seattle averages just 3.8 yards per carry, and its offense is generating 4.9 yards per snap.

The Seahawks are eventually going to bounce out of this funk, but I want to see it first instead of betting that it will happen. What I have seen is an offensive line that has trouble blocking and a defense that doesn't intimidate anymore. I'm taking the points with the Colts, who have improved the last two weeks with Jacoby Brissett behind center. They are greater than their rating suggests here.

This looks like the ultimate "get well" game for a Seattle team that has shown some alarming shortcomings in stumbling to a 1-2 start. The Seahawks on Sunday night are hosting a woeful Colts team at CenturyLink Field, where Seattle has covered five of its last six games against losing opponents. I think this is one of those rare spots in which the public will back the underdog in a prime-time showcase game, only to see it get away -- perhaps early -- from the inferior team. I'm laying the points in a strong situational spot for Seattle.

Jacoby Brissett has been a bright spot for the Colts. He’s bringing balance to the table, which can make their offense a challenge moving forward. The Colts have a really strong run defense, but that won’t make a difference this week as the 'Hawks can’t run the ball. The Seahawks will feast on a Colts secondary that can’t stop the deep ball.
