Watching the Vikings unravel in three consecutive losses was foreseeable. Teams have forced Sam Bradford to make decisions as the running game continues to suffer. Losing offensive coordinator Norv Turner has only compounded matters. On the road against a strong offensive team in the Redskins spells trouble. Yet, Bradford has experience as an Eagle against the Redskins and should be able to game manage here efficiently. Minnesota gets back on track here.
It seems weird to go against the Vikings considering how great they looked through the early part of the season, but well-rested Washington is the play here. They're good enough running the ball to live without suspended left tackle Trent Williams, and they've covered five of their last six, with the only loss being in Detroit in a game they easily could have won. Washington also has the pass rush to become the latest to abuse the Vikings' offensive line deficiencies. I'd take the spread at anything less than three, but I give Washington a very good chance of winning outright.
We've got one of the best Over teams facing one of the best Under teams. Will it be the Redskins or Vikings who are best able to impose their will? The Vikings' scheme will be simple and they'll do all they can to slow this game down with hopes of getting a big turnover that shortens the field for their offense. It's safe to say Minny's offense won't sustain long drives. The Vikings have lost three straight and haven't changed a thing offensively, and I don't expect them to change this week.
