The Vikings offense has sputtered this year, and the offensive line has been exposed over the last few games. That matters less against a Lions team that ranks last in the league in defensive DVOA. The elite Vikings defense should play well at home, where the Packers, Texans and Giants all scored 14 points or less. If the offense can protect the ball as they have most of the year, they should be able to pick up an easy win and get their season back on track.

Four of the past five meetings have stayed Under and that is the way to go here. The Vikings have stayed Under in two of their three home games, allowing 12.3 ppg. The Under trend for Minny goes even further within the division at 13-3 in their last 16. Matthew Stafford or not, it doesn't matter who the Vikings defense plays, they control the tempo. They come in on a two game losing streak and they also come in with offensive coordinator Norv Turner resigning after the loss at Chicago. Despite Turner being gone, Mike Zimmer still knows his best chance to win with a team that can't run is to keep doing it and slow the game down and eliminate turnover opportunities.
