Seattle starter James Paxton loves pitching at home, with an ERA of just 2.08. Tigers veteran Justin Verlander has struggled on the road in 2017, except when going against weak lineups. But he should benefit from pitcher-friendly Safeco Field, I expect a low-scoring affair Wednesday.

Rangers starter Tyson Ross continues his return from an injury that kept him out more than a year. He was solid in his debut Saturday against the Mariners. Ross was an All-star in 2014 and has good stuff. Blue Jays starter Joe Biagini has been better at home than on the road, and I expect him to struggle Wednesday in a hitter-friendly park.

This total is high for Dodger Stadium even with Rich Hill on the mound. Hill has been really good or really bad in alternating starts. This is his really good start coming up. Tyler Pill grew up in Southern California and went to Fullerton State. I'm going with the hometown kid to throw a good game in front of his family.

Christian Bergman maybe shell-shocked from his last start. His numbers are a little deceiving - he has a road ERA of 10.61 and a home ERA of 1.61. Bergman had had two horrible starts away from home and this could be number three. It's not going to be easy against Yu Darvish, who comes off a one-hit, seven-inning outing, but he allows more runs at Arlington than on the road.

The ball has been carrying in Minneapolis over the past week, and both lineups have been producing a bunch of runs. Look for this one to sail Over the total.
