After last week's miracle victory over Florida State, it's easy to predict a letdown for Miami on Saturday. but I think Mark Richt will have the Hurricanes ready to roll against an overmatched Georgia Tech squad.

Miami coach Mark Richt might be amid just his second season in the ACC but he is most familiar with Paul Johnson’s quirky run-minded offense. Richt prepared for it annually during his long stint at Georgia. However, the ‘Canes are ailing big-time. Three starters have not recovered from the rough-and-tumble win over Florida State last week, and primary receiver Ahmmon Richards (hamstring) is iffy. Already, the ‘Canes were missing first-string RB Mark Walton (ankle). Tech, having played only four games, is in fine fettle physically. The chronically underappreciated Yellow Jackets have covered in eight straight overall. Though the ‘Canes are on a similar hot streak, the public has caught on to them and pushed the line too high.

How can you bet against a team like Georgia Tech that has covered all four games this season and eight straight dating back to last season? If the price is right, that's how. And this number has been dropping to that value point with Miami at home, where Tech's triple-option running game will face its toughest test of the season. The Hurricanes have covered eight of their last nine as well as seven of the last eight meetings with Tech. Miami is the play Saturday.
