Kentucky faced similar matchup a couple of weeks ago against another defense-minded opponent in South Carolina. The Gamecocks held their own for a while before Kentucky pulled away. A similar scenario should play out Saturday. Alabama has enough defense and determination to hang around for a while, but over the course of 40 minutes, Kentucky’s superior firepower should win out. I’d like Alabama’s chances if the Wildcats were in a letdown spot but, because of their recent downturn, they should be motivated for an optimal showing.
