Here are the early bets I made after the NFL schedule release ...

Going with another fade on the 17.5 outs line today, as we're looking for Jared Jones to not finish the 6th inning here. The Rockies are a tough group to back in any capacity but this will be Jones' first test in Denver and for what it's worth, some of the Rockies hitters have slightly improved over the last few games and started to put some hits together. Jones has gone under this line in four of his six road starts so far this year and the ERA balloons to 4.73 on the road, as opposed to a 2.14 ERA at home.

The scheduled has ramped up and correspondingly this has not been the easiest week for the Royals, who narrowly averted a four-game sweep by the Yankees before losing the opener of this weekend set last night. Now KC has to deal with the mystifying Dodger starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who can be extra tough for teams that haven't seen him yet, as the case with the hot Yanks last Friday, managing just 2 hits and 0 runs in seven innings of a game LA won in extra innings. Tough for the Royals to keep pace tonight, especially if Seth Lugo is losing some of his magic on the mound, as his 7.62 ERA across his last two starts is suggesting. Play Dodgers on Run Line

The Yankees have won four of the last five from Boston. They look like they're about to start another winning streak as they did with their four-game streak before losing in the 9th inning to the Royals Thursday, 4-3. Then they came up yesterday to Fenway and won like a machine. Cooper Criswell lost two of his last three starts and gave up four runs to Chicago in a loss and 11 runs to Baltimore in a loss. Carlos Rodon has won seven starts in a row. This is the dominant Rodon that the Yankees didn't get last year. Yankees win.

Friday, the Seattle Mariners won a close game one over their division rivals in the Texas Rangers 3-2. Saturday, may be another low scoring game as Nathan Eovaldi and George Kirby are coming off strong seven inning performances their last starts. The outing was Eovaldi’s first heavy work load since May 2nd, and may be a factor today. Take Seattle as the Rangers come down to Earth off taking two of three against the Dodgers.

Look for the Tampa Bay Rays to bounce back from yesterday’s series opening loss to the Atlanta Braves. They will see Charlie Morton on the mound today who has not had a win since May 10th. On the other side Ryan Pepiot has boosted his strikeouts in four straight starts. Look for his command and strikeout ability to be a key factor in the Rays getting a road win today. Take Tampa

Fernando Tatis Jr. has gone hitless in his last two games after recording over 1.5 total bases in his previous eight games. His hard-hit rate is 53.2%, while he faces Quintana, who allows a 45.3% hard-hit rate. Good value.

Seth Lugo is a guy I think is closer to that near four xERA rather than the current ERA, which is closer to two. As we know, the Dodgers feature one of the best lineups in baseball, especially at the top, and Freeman and Betts both have solid career numbers against Lugo in smaller sample sizes. Ohtani interests me on the over 2.5 HRRBI at plus odds, as Lugo's numbers vs lefties has regressed a fair amount over his last few starts. It will need to start up top if the Dodgers bounce Lugo early, and at this price it's worth a half unit shot in my opinion.

The Braves offense has major issues; only MIA and COL swing at more pitches than the Bravos; only 4 teams swing and miss more than ATL. Ryan Pepiot may have the best 4-season fastball in MLB (.126 avg), he is in 88th % in whiff rate and XBA. He can shut Braves down. Charlie Morton has allowed 16 ER and 29 H in last 5 starts (24 2/3 IP). ATL too reliant on Marcell Ozuna. Banking on TB scratching out a few runs for their emerging ace starter.

Gunnar Henderson vs a bad RH pitcher with him team in a bit of a slump looks great to me. Should be back in his comfortable leadoff spot today. Taijuan Walker stinks and gives up a ton of fly balls and 28 HR since start of last season. Gunnar is due to run into one. Henderson leads MLB (by far) with 35% of all flyballs he hits at home going for a tater. Next closest is Ohtani at 29%. O's due to break out of offensive rut
