Mookie continues to smash the ball and the bottom part of the Dodgers lineup is in a much better spot now than early in the season, so he gets the chance to hit more with guys on base. Dude has 27 RBIs and an OPS north of 1000. He owns Michael King. Loves hitting in this park. Drove in 5 in 3 games vs Friars earlier this season. Drove in 13 in 13 games vs them last season.

Mookie keeps scalding the ball but has been unlucky with home run luck lately. But we know this is a 40-dinger guy and he is usually up to face the Friars and he has taken Michael King deep twice in 5 career ABs against him. We have tried this a few times recently and been burned but with Betts not homering since April 12, you know one is coming soon. Getting almost 5-1 now. Mookie homered 3 times in 7 games at Petco Park last season.

Bad time to run into the Dodgers. They have won 8 of their last 9 and have a RD of 58-19 in that span. They have their ace on the mound who has looked like a true No. 1 in all but like one of his starts. They love to beat up on the rival Friars and have the Padres number and are in their heads more than a little bit. The transition to fulltime starter has been tricky for Michael King and he's been totally shellacked in both of his home starts. Dodgers have pretty much everyone cranking at top of lineup. Padres 3-6 at home (all loses by 2+ runs) since taking 2 of 3 from LAD. Revenge series for Dodgers
