It took a game or two, but new Wings HC Todd McLellan (who replaced Derek Lalonde Dec. 26) has now seen his team rattle off five wins in a row to get within shouting distance of playoff territory. Detroit has been scoring enough goals (17 in the first four games of the uptick) to succeed lately, with C Dylan Larkin especially hot, scoring five across the last four games. Meanwhile the Blackhawks are back on the road, where they've lost five straight and eight of nine, allowing a whopping 25 goals across those last five. Goalie Petr Mrazek did get the Wednesday win over Colorado, but also had a woeful 5.39 GAA and .812 saves in December. Play Red Wings on Pock Line
Detroit has taken off since the coaching change with five straight wins. I don't truly love this as it's the Wings' lesser goaltender in Cam Talbot with Alex Lyon a bit banged up (I'd probably go 1.5 units if Lyon, but then this price would likely be higher), but the Blackhawks are the worst team in the league overall and have just five road wins. This is the Wings' change to get over .500 for the first time since early November and I don't think they blow that against a weak rival. Dylan Larkin has a four-game goals streak and six-game points streak.
