Gonna roll the dice on the Habs at home even though they are really short-handed due to injury/COVID. So why do it? Jake Allen has allowed three goals or fewer in six of his past seven, and I think Montreal can score four tonight against an Avs team in the second of a back-to-back. That's because Colorado either has to give Justus Annunen his first-ever start after being called up from the AHL or go back to Jonas Johansson, who only allowed eight goals Wednesday in Toronto. I think this price at home makes Montreal a worthwhile gamble and Colorado is 4-5 on the road. The Canadiens are 7-3 in their last 10 when their opponent allows five goals or more in the previous game. I previously went Under 6.5 on this game because I'll always go Under 6.5. Ideally, the Habs win 4-2.
Colorado might be giving Justus Annunen his first NHL start, but he has been quite good in the AHL -- honestly, I don't care if my half-blind grandmammy is starting in net, if I see a total of 6.5 in an NHL game, I'm going Under. I may come back on Montreal on the ML at a decent underdog price.
