I often need a reason to pick a road team when clubs are somewhat evenly-matched, and I have it here. The Kings are not starting Jonathan Quick in net but Cal Petersen (5-3-1, 3.00). Calgary is the better team regardless and now has a major edge in net with Vezina candidate Jacob Markstrom (1.75 GAA, .938, five shutouts). At least, Markstrom is supposed to start. I've been waiting on official word all night but still nothing an hour before puck drop. All indications point to him. The NHL for gambling purposes needs to enforce lineup deadlines like MLB and the NFL do.
