ANALYSIS: Second of a back-to-back for Buffalo and one reason we picked against them at the Islanders (who won) on Monday was that the Sabres were really short-handed on the blueline with Jake McCabe, Will Borgen and Rasmus Ristolainen all out injured. I see no reason to not pick against the Sabres 24 hours later even if the Devils aren't as good as the Islanders. New Jersey is finally about 100 percent off COVID issues and Mackenzie Blackwood (4-1-1, 2.12 GAA) has been very good. Probably Carter Hutton (1-4-0, 2.85) for Buffalo. The Devils are 5-1 in their past six as favorites.
