Jets vs. Cowboys NFL Week 2 props, trends: Zach Wilson given 65/1 odds to lead all quarterbacks in passing yards Sunday

The Zach Wilson show begins again for the New York Jets in the wake of Aaron Rodgers' devastating season-ending Achilles tendon injury suffered Monday night. Wilson is 8-14 as a starter, has been NFL's lowest-rated passer in back-to-back seasons and now goes up against what could be the league's defense on Sunday in Dallas. Could Wilson actually lead all quarterbacks in passing yards on Sunday against the Cowboys? He is a +6500 longshot at DraftKings.
Wilson, the only quarterback since the 1970 merger finish last in the NFL in passer rating in back-to-back seasons, has only two career games with at least 300 passing yards and the Jets lost both. I'm not sure there has been a full Sunday in modern NFL history where the most yards by any quarterback was under 300 yards. The favored range for this Sunday at DK is between 375-399 yards at +300.
The Jets have averaged just 17.2 points per game in Wilson's starts, the third-lowest in the NFL among QBs since he entered the league in 2021. Only Houston's Davis Mills (16.5 PPG), who is now a backup, and Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett (16.7) are worse.
New York is the +700 favorite at DK to be Sunday's lowest-scoring team (over/under 14 points) and the matchup with Dallas is +850 to be the lowest-scoring game. Commanders-Broncos is the +500 leader.
Dallas destroyed the other New York team in Week 1 at MetLife Stadium, trashing the Giants 40-0. It was the biggest shutout loss for Big Blue in the series and the Cowboys' biggest shutout victory in any game, topping their 38-0 win over the Baltimore Colts in 1978. Led by Micah Parsons, the Cowboys paced the NFL with seven sacks and 12 QB hits in Week 1.
Since Dan Quinn took over as the defensive coordinator in 2021, the Cowboys are the best in the NFL in takeaways (70), sacks (102), QB pressure rate (40.4%), points off turnovers (243) and defensive touchdowns (10). Over that span, the Cowboys have the NFL leader in picks (Trevon Diggs, 14), and the player with the third-most pressures in Parsons with 163.
So, yeah, it may get ugly for Wilson, who is set with O/U totals of 174.5 passing yards, 0.5 touchdowns (that's very rare) and 0.5 picks, with the INTs Over a monster -218 favorite.
