Coronavirus: NFL Thanksgiving down to two games with Ravens vs. Steelers postponed until Sunday

There will be only two NFL games on Thanksgiving this year with Baltimore at Pittsburgh postponed.

The 2020 Thanksgiving NFL schedule was to feature three games per usual but the only one to include even one team with a winning record was the primetime matchup between the Ravens (6-4) and Steelers (10-0) in Pittsburgh. The last thing the league wanted to do was postpone a game on the biggest day of the regular season, but Baltimore's COVID-19 outbreak left the NFL no choice and that AFC North showdown has been moved to Sunday afternoon.

That leaves 3-7 Houston at 4-6 Detroit with the early kickoff (12:30 p.m. ET on CBS) and 3-7 Washington at 3-7 Dallas in the mid-afternoon (4:30 p.m. ET on FOX) on the holiday. Isn't that just a fitting Thanksgiving NFL schedule for this awful 2020 year?

NBC was to televise Baltimore at Pittsburgh but has Chicago at Green Bay in the primetime window on Sunday. The NFL's oldest rivalry is not going to be flexed out. There are only three games currently in the 4 p.m. ET window but one is the mega-marquee matchup on CBS between Kansas City and Tampa Bay. Thus, Ravens-Steelers probably kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.

More on this as it develops.
