    Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Zack's Analysis:

We have witnessed in the first two weeks what a Super Bowl hangover truly is. The Bengals' slow start will have them hungry to prove themselves on the road against the Jets. New York’s comeback win at Cleveland in Week 2 stole the headlines, but was a true miracle as it was down 13 points with less than two minutes left. While the Jets' offense may continue to look better, it’s their defense that will have immense problems. Look for the Bengals to cruise.

    Mike's Analysis:

This spread would make sense at the start of the season, but not now. Bengals QB Joe Burrow has suffered an astonishing 13 sacks as the rebuilt Cincy O-line has been same-old. New York's D-line has underachieved, given that it's a supposed roster strength. Supposedly washed-up Joe Flacco has been the better QB through two weeks and will adeptly hold down the fort for injured Zach Wilson if not forced out of the pocket. The Bengals have recorded just two sacks.

    Stephen's Analysis:

This one is hitting in almost 60 percent of simulations, with our projected total going over 50 points. The Bengals offense shouldn’t have nearly the problems it had against Dallas last week, so Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase could have big days. The stat projections have Burrow right around 300 passing yards and Chase near 100 receiving. The Jets have some playmakers, including rookie receiver Garrett Wilson, so they should score enough to push this over the total.

    R.J.'s Analysis:

The Bengals offense has looked lost through two weeks, and the O-line has been completely overmatched. But that was against T.J. Watt and Micah Parsons, and the Jets don't have the same elite pass rush. In fact, their secondary looks susceptible to big plays, which isn't great when Ja'Marr Chase is coming to town. The Cincy D has been good on third downs but needs to generate more pressure overall. I think that happens against Joe Flacco, who I don't expect to have consecutive good performances. This line dropped 1.5 points off the lookahead, but Cincy should improve as the season progresses after Joe Burrow was limited in August. In a better matchup here, I think he finally gets his feet under him and Cincy finally rolls to an easy win.
