Just as it takes two to tango, it takes two teams to drive total points scored above 50. Indy can do its share, the Colts having scored between 29 and 42 points in their five most recent efforts. But Miami has not reached the end zone in nine quarters, and the return of QB Ryan Tannehill cannot salvage this offense. The Dolphins have eclipsed the total once in five away games this season. The Colts must patch up a key position, with C Ryan Kelly (knee) out.
Ryan Tannehill is coming back for this game, but all signs are he isn't 100 percent, and if that's the case, is he that much better than a healthy Brock Osweiler? The bigger concern for Miami is the defense, which is just 29th in adjusted sack rate and is going up against what's become an elite offensive line. Andrew Luck should be able to sit back in the pocket and carve up the Dolphins, and the Indy defense is playing enough that I don't think a still-recovering Tannehill can keep up if they get to 30 points. And Indy has scored 29 or more in every home game since Week 1.
This number is high, so I wouldn't go crazy on this pick, but I like the Colts. They're really hot and the Dolphins' defense is near the bottom in every category. Even with Ryan Tannehill back, Miami won't be able to keep up with Andrew Luck.
