There's little I don't like about the Ravens in this game, particularly considering it is at home. Joe Flacco has himself a corps of wide receivers, and though fantasy players may hate it, there's also a solid 1-2 punch at running back serving as a nice complement to that unit. Case Keenum has been far from impressive early this season for the Broncos despite a couple late comebacks, and I don't see how the running game has the same success against Baltimore as it did against Seattle and Oakland.
While Baltimore should bounce back at home and will be playing on extra rest, I don't think the Ravens, who remain limited offensively, should be laying this many points. Take Denver to keep it close.
The Ravens have outscored the Broncos 70-47 this season, but Denver is the undefeated team. My model makes the Ravens -7 home favorites in this matchup with Case Keenum and the Broncos. There aren't a ton of big names in Baltimore uniforms, but this recieving group is significantly better than what they were rolling out there last season. Lay it.
The Broncos are 2-0 but found themselves trailing in the fourth quarter of each win. Both came at home, and they were favored in each game. Now they head on the road to face a potential playoff contender with a plus coach that's on extra rest. Case Keenum hasn't looked great so far, and neither has the Broncos' pass defense. I'd make the line at least Ravens -6 and think they win by a touchdown or more.
Case Keenum has more picks (4) than TD's (3), but he's also got two come-from-behind home wins to start the season. The defense has been coming up with big plays in key moments and allows just 78 ypg on the ground. But perhaps the most impressive change for Denver has been the running game averaging 157 yards between the two games. Rookie RBs Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman are getting frequent openings and taking advantage. Broncos can win this game, but I'll take the points.
Baltimore is a much better team at home, and the Ravens have a huge coaching advantage in this one. And I don't think Case Keenum is playing as well as he did last year in Minnesota. Baltimore's defense will show up in a big way. Lay the points.
Look for the Ravens to bounce back after a crushing loss to the Bengals. The Broncos are very lucky to be 2-0 -- squeaking by with home wins in their first two games. But my trusty simulations indicate the Ravens' swarming defense wreaking havoc on Case Keenum and company. Back Baltimore.
