The public loves the Ravens today, creating one of the largest liabilities of the week for sportsbooks around the world. Nate Peterman's 5 INT game is playing a large role in the public perception of this Bills team. The real factor here is the weather is getting ugly in Baltimore. This is setting up nicely for LeSean McCoy who shuold thrive in these conditions. Take the free 7.5 points.
The Bills are heading to Baltimore with an inexperienced quarterback and major offensive line issues. The Ravens should be better on offense this year, but I don't expect them to run up the score against a solid Bills defense. Each of these teams' first two games last year were well under 40, and I expect that to be the case again here.
A part of me worries that this is a square play, but it just makes far too much sense. Buffalo's offense was awful last season, and with Nathan Peterman starting, I don't see a scenario in which it's any better this season. Maybe you're more comfortable taking the Ravens -7.5, but that hook is a problem. I'm far more confident in the Under.
Buffalo is awful, could be the worst team in the league. Joe Flacco has looked good, they drafted somebody behind him and he's energized. The Ravens have a strong running game, a good defense, and they picked up some receivers to help Flacco. I like Baltimore at 3/1 to win its division, too.
