Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz are in for the Eagles and Sean Lee is out for the Cowboys. I'm projecting a lot of offense early in this game before both teams make adjustments after the first quarter and at half. Take the Over 24.
I'm the sucker getting in late here and missing multiple points of value, but I still feel the Eagles are that much better than a Cowboys team without their starting running back, left tackle and middle linebacker. And while Dallas is at home -- Philly has not covered six on the road since Sept. 17 -- the Eagles are the better overall team and should be able to cover a touchdown in any situation. Let's also not forget that Philly has a terrifying defensive front, which could eat all day.
The Cowboys don't fare well when LB Sean Lee doesn't lead the defense or when Ezekiel Elliott is out. The lackluster loss at Atlanta last week was the perfect example. They're in desperation mode, but that's good sometimes and they're at home. There's been an over-adjustment to both team ratings after what each did last. When this passed -3 as a road favorite, I was sold on the Cowboys and part of it is because they're better than all seven teams the Eagles have beaten in a row. Upgrade in opponents for Philly. I have the Eagles -2, so I'm on Dallas.
All eyes will be on the matchup between Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott. Prescott's eyes may be on his left tackle, Chaz Green, after the disaster in Atlanta. But I expect the Cowboys' coaching staff to make the necessary adjustments and be better at protecting their QB. Take the points.
The public side in this game is definitely going to be the Eagles, which should be a red flag for anyone planning on taking them. But I think they're absolutely the right side, so I'm grabbing them while they're still -3. The Eagles are coming off the bye with what's been the best team in the league. Tyron Smith's absence was massive for Dallas last week, and even if he plays here, he won't be close to 100 percent. That's bad news against the Eagles' talented front four. The Eagles also entered Week 10 as the No. 1 run stuffing defense in the league, per FO's Adjusted Line Yards. The Eagles keep flying high here.
