With the exception of a win over the Derek Carr-less Raiders, the Ravens have been terrible away from home this year. Tennessee comes off its bye and gets No. 5 overall pick Corey Davis back in the lineup. Lay the points.
Marcus Mariota is healthy. Starting wideout Corey Davis is back. Baltimore is getting too much love after the Miami win, and Tennessee has been downgraded after its last four performances. This Titans team is better than you might believe, and this Ravens defense gave up 24 to Minneosta and 27 to Chicago.
The Ravens are a bit overvalued this week coming off a 40-0 drubbing of the Dolphins. The offensive performance wasn't as impressive as a final score that includes two defensive TDs and just 121 pass yards. They're still banged up quite a bit, especially on offense, and their weakness is defending the run, which just so happens to be Tennessee's strength. With Marcus Mariota getting the bye week to recover from injury, he should look much more like his normal self in this game. Though the Titans defense was lit up in their first four games, they showed up in three straight games against bad offenses before the bye. The Ravens offense still qualifies as bad. Titans roll.
The public keeps expecting the Ravens’ awful offense to right itself. Not me. This line seems low, even if I am drawn to underdogs with dogged defenses receiving more than a field goal. Though Baltimore’s D is elite statistically, its strength is against the pass, and the Titans prefer to travel by land over air. Their pass attack will get a boost from the end of a five-game absence by WR Corey Davis (hamstring). The venue favors Tennessee, which is on a 6-1 ATS home streak while Baltimore has dropped eight of 11 ATS away.
