It’s too early for such a massive line, especially when the favorite failed to reach the end zone in Week One. The Seahawks’ offense reeked at Green Bay, its playmakers unable to make up for a substandard line. Spotting two touchdowns to any opponent with salaried players is risky. The Niners also did not cross the goal line last week. Yet rookie coach Kyle Shanahan’s new offense needed a game to break it in. Plus, it might not have to deal with CB Richard Sherman (hamstring), who is iffy. Ignore the Hawks’ lopsided ATS in recent seasons against the 49ers.
Despite getting beat up at home, I was impressed with the 49ers' defense in Week 1, and they held strong most of the game despite being sold out constantly by their offense. I think they'll have success against Seattle's atrocious O-line. The Seahawks front four should dominate San Francisco's poor O-line as well, and I don't see how the 49ers get to 10 points in this game. Bang the Under.
