There's no value with the Steelers at Buffalo and the price is inflated by a full point, but the Steelers are getting back into their groove while the Bills are showing they get outclassed vs. quality teams. Since Week 5, the Bills' wins have been against the Rams, 49ers, Bengals and Jags while losses have come against the Raiders, Seahawks, Patriots and Dolphins. Buffalo is a nice team, but not ready to jump into that next class. The Steelers have won three straight and all three stayed Under. There's a chance of snow with windy conditions so look for a lower-scoring game and for the Steelers' improved rush defense to slow the Bills' top-rated ground game.
Pittsburgh's defense has really showed up of late. Granted, they've had some cake matchups (the Browns, the Luckless Colts, whatever the Giants' offense is at this point), but giving up a total of 30 points in a three-game stretch is impressive no matter the circumstances. The defense has struggled against elite offenses, and I don't think we can use that term with the Bills, who can run the ball but have no passing game. The Bills defense has been exposed by elite offenses (41 to the Pats with Brady, 38 to the Raiders, 31 to the Seahawks), and the Steelers certainly qualify there. Grab this one before it gets to -3.
The Steelers have gone Under in seven of their past eight games, and the weather could be a factor Sunday in keeping this score down. The current forecast calls for snow showers and winds between 15-25 mph. Pittsburgh quietly ranks seventh in scoring defense (19.7) and sixth in rushing defense (92 ypg), which will come in handy versus the Bills. Go Under.
