Today's picks: Why Jazz will cover spread vs. Sixers and more expert bets for Monday, February 15

Jonathan Coachman is joined by featured sports betting experts Mike McClure, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. They supply prime bets for the NBA and college basketball slates for Monday, Feb. 15. 

At the opening tip of the show, Mike delivers his NBA injury breakdown, focusing on issues ranging from the status of Doug McDermott to the latest personnel issues the Clippers are dealing with. Zack then focuses on what to watch for on the Brooklyn Nets during their West Coast road swing. 

The Coach provides the SportsLine pick of the day, pointing out that Matt Severance is on an incredible run on his NHL picks. He backs the selection of the Lightning -160 over the Panthers at  7 p.m. ET. 

Mike then takes it back to the NBA, where he is on the Pacers -5.5 over the Bulls at 7 p.m. ET. He also likes the Hawks to get back on a winning track at -2 over the Knicks at 7:30 p.m. ET. The absence of Mitchell Robinson may be a real issue for New York in this matchup. 

Zack turns the spotlight to college basketball, riding with USC Upstate at -1 over Presbyterian at 6 p.m. ET. He is also going with FSU -120 over Virginia at 7 p.m. ET, noting advantages in size and on the home court. 

Larry's featured college basketball selection is Eastern Kentucky -8 over Tennessee Tech at 7 p.m. ET. In the NBA, he looks for the sizzling Utah Jazz to keep rolling at -7 over the Sixers at 9 p.m. ET. "They're going to cool down, I just don't know when it is," he says. "Utah has won straight home games, the last 11 by at least 11 points. Utah is so deep, playing so unselfishly. I'll lay it with the Jazz."
