Today's picks: Why Clippers will cover betting spread vs. the Grizzlies, plus more NBA, NHL, college basketball plays for Friday, February 26

Coming off a 5-1-1 day, Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Mike McClure and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. They deliver their favorite bets for the NBA, college basketball and NHL slates for Friday, Feb. 26. 

Mike has some very important pieces of NBA injury information to share, including Bam Adebayo now being added to Miami's injury list along with Tyler Herro. The Hawks and Thunder have issues to deal with, and the Hornets are among other teams with notable concerns. Larry then adds to the storylines of the day, talking about how the NCAA is considering replacement teams for the 2021 tournament field. He says the next couple of weeks will be fascinating, as the NCAA may rely on the NIT as an insurance policy. 

The Coach supplies his SportsLine Play of the Day, taking Purdue +1 over Penn State at 7 p.m. ET. 

Mike reveals his prime selections for the NBA on Friday, targeting the Clippers at -5.5 over the Grizzlies at 8 p.m. ET in the second night of consecutive matchups between the teams. Memphis won the first game handily. 

"The Memphis Grizzlies pretty much blew the Clippers out of the water, which was definitely not expected," he says. "We're going to throw that game out. This Clippers team is actually 5-0 ATS on days with no rest. I like them in this spot. My simulations have them at -8.2, which is the same number as last night. I am on the Clippers this time around." 

Mike is also on the Hawks -4.5 over the Thunder at 8 p.m. ET. The Coach backs him up on the prop selection of Stephen Curry over 29.5 points in Warriors-Hornets at 10 p.m. ET. 

Larry then moves back to college basketball, opting for Drake -9 over Bradley, which is dealing with personnel problems. He is also riding with USCB at -3 over UC Riverside at 11 p.m. ET. In the NBA, Larry likes the Pistons +1 over the skidding Sacramento Kings at 8 p.m. ET.
