Coming off a stellar 9-0 day in various sports, Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Mike McClure, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. They provide their prime bets for the NBA and college basketball for Monday, Feb. 22. The Coach also sprinkles in his NHL Play of the Day.

Mike starts things off by evlauating major injury storylines in the NBA. The Rockets are continuing to deal with personnel issues, and the Thunder may be without Al Horford. The Lakers are still without Anthony Davis, and losing Dennis Schroeder is also a big blow. Zack then tell us how today's college basketball slate has an NCAA tournament feel to it and can function as a preview for what's to come.

The Wizards are Mike's first NBA pick, at +6.5 over the Lakers at 10 p.m. ET. He believes Washington is trending in the right direction. He is also on the Mavericks -5 over the Grizzlies at 8:30 p.m. ET, as Memphis will be without Dillon Brooks.

Zack moves to college basketball, with Charleston Southern +3.5 over Presbyterian at 6 p.m. ET, noting that the Buccaneers took two of three meetings last season. He is also taking St Mary's -5.5 over Pepperdine at 6 p.m. ET. Zack then issues the first of two Portland player props for Monday, taking Gary Trent Jr. over 2.5 rebounds in Blazers-Suns at 9 p.m. ET. Phoenix has smaller guards, he says, and Trent should clear the number in approximately 38 minutes of action.

The Coach then skates by with his SportsLine Play of the Day in the NHL, backing Matt Severance's selection of the Islanders -160 over the Sabres at 7 p.m. ET.

Larry goes back to the hardwood, with Southeast Missouri +4.5 over Eastern Kentucky at 3 p.m. ET and New Mexico + 1 over Air Force at 9:30 p.m. ET. He then provides his spotlight prop play, with Damian Lillard over 12.5 rebounds and assists. "Lillard's had 18, 20, 17 and 14 over his last four games," he says. "This is a tough matchup at Phoenix, but I still think he gets over this number. I think that line is adjusted too much to credit the Suns' defense and pace. He gets it done and gets at least 13." The Coach is totally in agreement, pointing out that we sometimes focus so much on Lillard's scoring, we don't always realize how efficient he is in other categories.
