76ers vs. Hawks Monday NBA injury report, Game 4 odds, spread: Danny Green, Cam Reddish out; Trae Young set at 27.5 points

The Philadelphia 76ers look for a 3-1 lead over the Atlanta Hawks in their Eastern Conference playoff series Monday.

It seems almost every day now that an NBA starter has gone down injured in this postseason. The latest injury has hit the Philadelphia 76ers, who will be without starting guard Danny Green for 2-3 weeks with a calf strain suffered in Philly's easy win over the Hawks in Atlanta in Game 3 on Friday. The Hawks are 3-point home underdogs on the William Hill Sportsbook NBA odds for Game 4 on Monday and will remain without Cam Reddish. Atlanta star Trae Young is given an Over/Under of 27.5 points.

If there is one starter the Sixers could afford to lose it's Green. The veteran is just a three-point shooter these days (averaging 7.0 points this postseason), although he did have a career-high eight assists in Game 2. Green left with 8 minutes, 15 seconds remaining in the first quarter of Friday's 127-111 victory with Philadelphia up 6-4 and was replaced by Matisse Thybulle.

Coach Doc Rivers wouldn't say who would replace Green in the starting lineup. It figures to be Thybulle or Furkan Korkmaz. Thybulle fouled out in just 17 minutes of Game 3, while Korkmaz had 14 points in 27 minutes. He's the better scorer and Thybulle the better defender.

"Being honest, without joking, it is a decision we're going to have to make on what's more important: the extra defender or the extra floor spacer," Rivers said. "That was one of the things with Danny. Danny was so good defensively in a lot of cases that you got a little bit of both. So we've got to make that decision.

The Hawks haven't had Reddish since Feb. 21 due to a right Achilles issue and he will not go Monday even though he has been practicing. Atlanta could use some wing depth with De'Andre Hunter out for the season.

As for Young, he had 28 points in the Game 3 loss after 35 and 21 in the first two games. However, 10 of his 28 points Friday came on Young's 3-for-4 shooting once the outcome was settled. Rivers put Green on Young defensively in Game 1 and Young torched Philly. Since, it has been largely Ben Simmons, the runner-up for NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and Thybulle. Young is averaging 28.8 points in the playoffs. The Under 27.5 points Monday is a slight -120 favorite.

On the updated series line, the Sixers are -600 and Hawks +450.
