Winning without key players you typically don’t have a common opponent example of. For the Knicks we do as they defeated Miami by eight points on Friday, without Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby who left early in the game. They scored a season high 140 points, and it was the fourth time in five games scoring more then 133 points overall. Take the Knicks to get their second win over the Heat in the last four days.

The Knicks are going to be without Jalen Brunson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring) for this game. Even Miles McBride (personal) is listed as questionable. Last season, being without Brunson and Anunoby would have been a crippling blow because of their lack of depth. They are much deeper this season with the addition of Jordan Clarkson being the main reason why. With Brunson out and Anunoby leaving early Friday, Clarkson scored 24 points over 33 minutes off the bench. He has averaged at least 16.0 points in each of the last five seasons, so with added minutes likely coming his way against an up-tempo Heat team, take this over.

Norman Powell scored 38 points against the Knicks on Friday. He took 22 shots in the game, 15 of which came from behind the arc. When he faced the Knicks in October, he also stood out in the scoring department with 29 points. Plenty of shots should be coming his way again Monday with Bam Adebayo (toe) out. The Heat have played at the fastest pace in the league and the Knicks are without one of their best defenders in OG Anunoby (hamstring), so I like Powell’s chances of hitting this over.
It's always tricky sweeping a home-and-home set in the NBA; the Knicks beat the visiting Heat, 140-132, on Friday. Jalen Brunson missed that and will sit tonight. OG Anunoby did start but left early and is out for a while. Miles McBride would then in theory start, but he's iffy Monday. New York hasn't played a road game since Halloween and is 0-3 SU & ATS away (Indiana the only other team winless away). Miami is 5-1 at home and beat the Knicks there back on Oct. 26. The Heat have scored at least 130 points five times this season, already the most 130+ point games during a single season in team history.
