Still, the win streak is now at nine because JB Bickerstaff has Detroit playing some real defense while serviceable vets like F Paul Reed and G Javonte Green have stepped seamlessly into featured scoring roles. There are injuries…and there are injuries as the Pacers have been decimated, the season already written off minus Tyrese Haliburton and Obi Toppin, while others like Aaron Nesmith and Bennedict Mathurin have also been sidelined. Without Tyrese Halliburton, and other key players for the Pacers, Andrew Nembhard's average this season is up to 18 points (vs 10.0 last season) despite shooting just 40% from the field (45.8% last season). We are projecting him for just 14.5 points because this is a sell high spot. He comes in with 21+ points in 4 of his last 5 games but in each of the 4 overs there was something aberrant driving the over: one game shooting 4/5 from 3pt range (career 33% shooter), one game with 11 FTAs, one game 9/15 from the field, one game with 20 FGAs (made just 7). Also, T.J. McConnell is back for his 4th game and his minutes are steadily increasing, adding to this under play.
