We've seen enough from Charlotte lately to give the Hornets a whirl at this price. Winners in four of five, Charlotte is finally healthy and watching its big two of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges take turns leading on the scoresheet across the uptick. For Bridges, he's scored 20+ in five straight; for Ball, he's scored 23+ in nine straight dating to mid-December. Memphis is obviously capable especially with Ja Morant healthy and in the lineup, but in a curious twist this month, the road team has covered in the last six Grizzlies games. Play Hornets

Nick Smith Jr. has moved into the starting lineup in place of Brandon Miller (wrist). In his first game as a starter, Smith scored 15 points over 26 minutes against the Bulls. In his second game, he scored 19 points across 30 minutes against the Mavericks. Regardless if this game is close or if the score is a blowout, Smith should play a lot against a Grizzlies team that has played at the fastest pace in the league. That should leave him with enough opportunities to hit the over.

Brandon Miller remains out with a wrist injury, so Nick Smith Jr., a 2023 first-round pick out of Arkansas, should make his third straight start. In the first two starts, Smith had 15 points and five rebounds against the Bulls, then 19 points and three rebounds versus the Mavericks. Now Smith faces a Grizzlies team that plays at the NBA's fastest pace. Look for Smith, who went 8 of 15 from deep in those two starts, to play 25-30 minutes and collect at least 14 combined points and rebounds.
