Jakob Poeltl has gotten off to a hot start for the Raptors and through 5 games is posting career best numbers in virtually every counting category. His minutes are up and he has certainly made the most of his opportunities and taken advantage of the fact the Raptors are missing numerous rotational players. As a result, Poeltl is playing big minutes, however his usage hasn't increased and Toronto doesn't run offense through him. I do not believe he can sustain his current averages and this also qualifies as a very tough matchup, in addition to potential foul trouble, blowout risk, etc.
The Raptors have serious issues defending the room and are quite likely to get pushed around here after the Cavs, frankly, pushed around the new-look Lakers on Wed. Raptors have already allowed 127+ in 3 of 5 games, and now they have lost instant offense Scottie Barnes, who was helping them hang in some of these high-scoring games. Raptors have three losses by 8+ points already and with so many injuries bogging them down in the second half last year and to start this year, I could see this being a letdown spot.
