The Sixers blew their chance to sweep the series, losing at Washington in a game where the teams combined for 236 points. With no Joel Embiid, expect the Wizards to be very aggressive driving towards the basket and getting to the free throw line. Look for Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal to have enormous games. But the Wizards have lost six of their last eight games on the road and the Sixers have had their number this year, winning six of seven including the regular season and playoffs. This will be a high octane game.
The big news surrounding this game is that Joel Embiid (knee) is listed as doubtful. He missed the second half of Game 4, which turned out to be an eight-point loss for the 76ers. Playing this game at home should help, but without Embiid, the Wizards have a favorable opportunity to keep things close. They are also 19-12 ATS as road underdogs this season.
I'm just going to take a shot on the Wizards getting the 7 points now because I highly doubt that Sixers star Joel Embiid will play with his knee injury suffered in Game 4; the line should drop a few points when officially ruled out. It doesn't sound like it's ultra-serious, and I could still see Philly winning this game at home to close things out, but the Sixers are +70 in the series when Embiid is on the floor and -17 when he's not playing. Washington was 22-13-1 ATS during the regular season on the road.
