I was also set to pick the Suns on the moneyline and shut it down for the night, but then Deandre Ayton was ruled out -- plus Phoenix is without key reserve Cameron Johnson. So, even with the Blazers on the second of a B2B, I'll take the three points and am very tempted to pick the moneyline upset. Ayton is that important. He is one of six players in the NBA to rank in the top 20 on the league in rebounds per game, blocks per game and field goal percentage.

But the Trail Blazers are a much better team now, as they've won five in a row and nine of 10. The Suns have been flat in losing three of their last four (all on the road) ,while Portland just won at Utah on Wednesday. I’m going against the Trail Blazers' hot run, as they've had no rest while coming down from high altitude, and the Suns are just 1 1/2 games behind Utah for No. 1 seed in the West. I look for Phoenix to get back on track at home.
