Houston is absolutely imploding before our eyes, not to mention playing the second of a back-to-back. However, I think that the Rockets were eviscerated at home by Memphis on Sunday adds a bit more motivation here. None of the key Rockets played heavy minutes in the rout, so we will see John Wall play the second of a back-to-back and Victor Oladipo will be in there after sitting Sunday. The Cavs are pretty thin up front with the likes of Andre Drummond, Kevin Love, Larry Nance Jr. and Taurean Prince all out -- and Cedi Osman may miss this as well. Cleveland is 1-9 ATS in its past 10 away.
Not too often a team on an 11-game losing streak will be a favorite in the NBA but Houston is giving Cleveland points. It's the second of a back-to-back for the Rockets and they were simply embarrassed Sunday by Memphis. John Wall did play that one and usually doesn't in the second of a back-to-back. Eric Gordon is questionable. Cleveland enters on a three-game winning streak and beat Houston by 16 last week. Being home probably won't help the Rockets much as they are just 3-13 ATS in their past 16 in Houston.
These teams just faced each other last week, when the Cavaliers won at home by 16 points. The Rockets had no answer for Jarrett Allen, who finished with 26 points and 18 rebounds. While Houston should get Victor Oladipo back on Monday, it could be without John Wall. The team just lost to Memphis on Sunday and Wall has yet to play both games of a back-to-back set this season. I think he sits, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cavaliers won this game, so give me the points.
