Full disclosure I liked the Heat in Game 1 and the Heat in the series, so will all their injuries, my series bet looks pretty dead. But all these points... I’ll roll with Miami again. Why? Because the Lakers had their best 3-point shooting first half ever in a postseason game in Game 1. That cant happen again, can it?
The Miami Heat experienced their worst loss in the bubble in Game 1 in a 116-98 loss. Compounding matters were key injuries and the fact that the Heat didn’t show the skillset of talent to matchup with Anthony Davis. Yet, this is a position the Heat have been in before as they have experienced several stretches with players hurt the last two seasons. Chances of an outright victory are slim, but expect a more competitive game than the spread indicates.
Without Goran Dragic's penetration and Bam Adebayo's interior defense, the Heat are in trouble. The Lakers are playing their best at the best possible time. Lay it again with LA.
Well, Game 1 was just about worst-case scenario for the Heat. They lost big and suffered what could be crushing injuries to Goran Dragic (foot) and Bam Adebayo (neck), who are both listed as doubtful for Game 2. Even Jimmy Butler is dealing with an ankle injury, although he said he will play through it. This is a big line, but with all of the Heat’s injuries, look for the Lakers to cover.
