The Raptors not only looked great in Game 1, they simply didn't allow the Warrriors a run to get back into the game. Pascal Saikam isn't likely to go wild again Sunday, but he won't have to with that crowd, that defense and that go-to star in Kawhi Leonard. Back the Raptors.
While I'm not ready to predict that Toronto is going to win this series, I don't think Game One was a fluke. The Warriors had no trouble against Portland without Kevin Durant, but this Toronto team is much better than the Blazers. So, at home going against a Warriors team without Durant, I like the Raptors again.
The defending champs in the Warriors find themselves in an uncommon situation. They will assuredly play much better Sunday night and give the Raptors the type of effort they expected in game one. Veteran play combined with the Raptors shooting the ball well will continue to be the difference. Once again home court and the confident Raptors grab another win on a small home favored spread.
This should be a great bounce-back spot for the Warriors, but I'm liking the Raptors defense too much at home. They stress the Warriors offense. Don't expect Pascal Siakam to shoot 14-of-17 again as he did in Game 1, but more impressive is the overall team effort shooting over 50 percent from the field when Kawhi Leonard shot only 5-of-14. Expect Leonard to take over tonight. I'm on the Raptors to take a 2-0 lead.
I think this number will drop during gameday with more than 70 percent of the public on Golden State. I think the Raptors could drop to as low as Pick or -1 on Sunday. Toronto's home court will be rocking once again and is worth five points. The Raptors had a great showing in Game 1, flashing their length on offense but more importantly on defense. They have a clear-cut advantage in matchups, and their bench of Fred VanVleet, Serge Ibaka and Norman Powell is also an advantage in this series.
