Can we just make this an 11-game series and send all the other teams home? This series has restored my love of the NBA that had been fading all season. These have been well-played, intense games and I think after escaping out of Portland with a Game 4 win that the Nuggets will use the home-court edge to finally take a series lead. In both series so far the Nuggets have been playing on the edge and not taking advantage of their home court and trailing in the series. Denver is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings with the Blazers. Nuggets get the cover.
Effects from a four-overtime performance were on full display in Sunday’s Game 4 between the Nuggets and Trailblazers. Portland’s shots were flat from the perimeter while the Nuggets were able to attack the paint with Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap. On Tuesday, look for fresh legs and offense to be back intact. Grab the Over.
The Nuggets showed a lot of resiliency rebounding from a quadruple-overtime loss in Game 3 to win Game 4 on the road. With the series tied, the Nuggets now have a chance to move the Trail Blazers to the brink of elimination with a victory on their home floor. Look for them to win and cover before things shift back to Portland.
Enes Kanter re-separated his shoulder in Game 3 and it showed in Game 4, when he was held to 5 points after scoring 26, 15 and 18 in the first three. With the Nuggets continuing to harass Damian Lillard into a low shooting percentage, look for Denver to win and cover.
