The 76ers bounced back from a blowout loss in Game 1 with a potential series-turning road win in Game 2. They did despite limited contributions from Joel Embiid and J.J. Redick, with role players picking up the slack to augment a huge game from Jimmy Butler. Philadelphia has one of the top home-court advantages in the league and the better team in this series. Look for the 76ers to put pressure on Toronto with a Game 3 win Thursday in their series home opener.
Not much went right for the Raptors in Game 2. They shot 36.7 percent from the field and 27 percent from behind the arc. While he shot a robust 54.9 percent from the field during the regular season, Pascal Siakam was only 9-for-25 in that game. Danny Green was also just 1-for-6 from behind the arc after shooting 45.5 percent on three-pointers in the regular season. Look for the Raptors to rebound with a strong performance to win and cover Thursday in Game 3.
These teams have been all over the under. For Toronto's it's hit in seven of the last eight games, for Philly it's been four straight. But now the oddsmakers have adjusted and dropped the total nearly 10 points from Game 1 and six points from Game 2. My projections, meanwhile, see an uptick in scoring from the first two games, and the over hits in nearly 70 percent of my projections.
This line has flipped for good reason. Look for the Raptors to bounce back from a terrible shooting performance and reclaim command of this series.
