The Nets should have plenty of motivation in their first home playoff game since 2015 and they have a chance to put some serious pressure on the 76ers. Of course there will be enhanced value on the underdog if Joel Embiid ends up sitting out, but Brooklyn still has a lot of spot appeal. the Nets have been solid in bounce-back situations following tough outings, and they are now 2-2 against the 76ers on the season. Embiid's unnecessary flagrant foul in Game 2 might provide added motivation for the Nets.
The Nets are a better defensive team than Philadelphia and are not intimidated one bit by Philly. The Sixers have all of the pressure with talk about Brent Brown losing his job if the Sixers go down in the first round to Brooklyn. Since the All-Star break the Nets have the second-best defense in the NBA at home allowing just 100.8 points per 100 possessions. It also doesn't hurt the Joel Embiid is not 100 percent and is playing limited minutes. If Embiid doesn't play the Nets should be a small favorite. Take the better defensive team plus the points right now.
Philly embarrassed the Nets in Game 2, but now they're back in Brooklyn for their first home playoff game in four years. Combined with Joel Embiid provoking the Nets, I'm looking for a big effort from the home side. The home team has covered five of the past seven meetings. Grab the points.
In the Philadelphia versus Brooklyn series the venue may change but the scoring will not be halted. Look for another impressive Over tonight in Brooklyn.
The Nets have been a tough team on the road all year, so it’s not all that surprising that they’ve stolen away home court advantage in this series by winning Game 1. The Sixers were excellent at home during the regular season, but they were just 17-24 ATS on the road. I like the Nets chances to win this game, so I’ll take the points.
Brooklyn has covered in four of the six meetings against Philadelphia this season, including both times at Barclays Center. Each team knows the formula for success following the opening two games of this series. My projections see Game 3 as a one-possession type of game, with the Nets covering more often than not. Take the points with the Nets.
