This is more of a gut play than anything else. The Over has been a friendlier play in Blazers games most of the season, but each of their last four games have stayed Under, and on the season the Under is 26-19 when they play in conference. The Under is 4-1 in Dallas' last five conference games as well. More than any of that, though, I just think this total is a little too high, and there's value here.
Post All-Star break the Dallas Mavericks have completely fallen apart. An epic collapse has occurred as they’ve lost 13 of their last 15 games. Without CJ McCollum oddsmakers have pushed the spread down too low for Portland. Expect the Trailblazers backups and starters to have learned their lesson from a sloppy uncharacteristic meltdown against the Pacers Monday night. Grab Portland.
This seems like an awfully large spread considering C.J. McCollum (knee) is out. The Mavericks are playing out the string, but each of their last six losses has been by nine points or fewer. That included a one-point loss on the road versus the Nuggets and a one-point loss at home to the Rockets. I don’t think they win, but I’ll take the points.
This is too many points to give a Dallas team that's beaten Portland twice this season. With CJ McCollum still sidelined, look for a relatively close game and take the points.
